San Marcos Day 1

Ashley and Stuart settled into San Marcos at the charming Crystal River Inn. After a long journey, they grabbed dinner just down the street at North Street Beer Bar. The craft beer flowed, the curry tacos really hit the spot, and the vibe was relaxed. Texas hospitality began right there.

San Marcos Day 2

The day kicked off with a visit to the Commemorative Air Force Central Texas Wing, exploring vintage aircraft and aviation history. After burgers at Taproom and a glassblowing session with locals, they dined at Ivar’s by the river. A “glowing kayak” trip on the San Marcos River ended the day with magic—illuminated boats, clear water, and star-packed Texas skies.

Boerne Day 1

After a scenic drive to Boerne, Ashley and Stuart jumped straight into a kayaking lesson at City Lake Park. From there, they explored the stunning formations of the Cave Without a Name and toured the Old Jail Museum. The day ended with cold beers and live music at Free Roam Brewing, the perfect venue to chat with plenty of friendly locals.

Boerne Day 2

The couple started their day with breakfast at Bear Moon Bakery, then followed Cibolo Creek to the Herff Farm Farmers Market for local treats and a peaceful walk. After a relaxed stroll and shopping along Boerne’s Hill Country Mile—coffee, antiques, and blooming wildflowers—they ended the day with a scenic dinner at Lost Oak Cellars.

Bandera Day 1

Ashley and Stuart started their Bandera adventure at the Frontier Times Museum, then enjoyed lunch at O.S.T. Diner. After checking into the Best Western Hotel, they spent the afternoon exploring other local sights. Their day wrapped up with a hearty dinner at Trail Boss Steak & Grill, where they savoured Texas classics – there’s always room for chocolate lava cake, right?

Bandera Day 2

The pair hiked Lost Maples State Natural Area, then explored Bandera's Main Street. They stopped at The Dusty Halo to design and shape their own custom cowboy hats—true Texas style. After shopping, they picked up steaks at Lowe’s Market and ended the day at 11th Street Cowboy Bar, enjoying a lively atmosphere and barbecuing their own meat under the Texas sky.

Fredericksburg Day 1

Ashley and Stuart began their Fredericksburg exploration zinging up their day at Caliche Coffee, followed by a visit to the Pioneer Museum. They enjoyed lunch at Fresh Pickens, toured Becker Vineyards, and finished the day with a delicious dinner at Hill and Vine, trying some typical local dishes and wines.

Fredericksburg Day 2

The couple hiked up Enchanted Rock to enjoy stunning views, then wandered Main Street where they sampled goodies including a Sweet German Pretzel. They ended the day with a dance lesson in Luckenbach, enjoying live country music and two-stepped under the stars at the iconic dancehall.
